When a change makes a page inaccurate, uptodate drafts the edit against the synced files and opens a PR for you to review, right alongside the diff that caused it.

Merge and your space updates
Merge the pull request and GitBook syncs the change into your published space on its own. There is no export step and no separate integration to maintain.
